01
Problem
Object-recognition apps for the visually impaired were rigid — they could identify a chair, but couldn't tell you anything useful about it. And accessibility hardware was expensive, owned by few.
02
Idea
Use the LiDAR sensor that ships in every recent iPhone as an accessibility primitive. Anyone can already afford it. Anyone can already carry it.
03
Execution
Dot Go is the first object-recognition app that lets users bind detected objects to actions — a chair becomes a sound, a door becomes a vibration, a sign becomes a spoken description. Recognition models, distances, and triggers are all customizable.
04
Impact
Accessibility hardware re-imagined as software, built on hardware millions already own. Cannes Lions Bronze. Clio Gold.
